Hmmm....Heard on the news that out in Vancouver...as of March 2014...under the Building Code...Door NOBS will be banned...also for Faucets...they are to be replaced by LEVERS instead.....The reasoning being that people with Arthritis and other types of deformations caused by disease and such..makes it DIFFICULT for people to turn NOBS....This actually makes perfect sense to me!..It is so much simpler to push a lever than to try and grip and turn a nob. I am sure there will be some exceptions...sometimes a nob may be needed for Security purposes...or perhaps a lever would just not work in some cases...But all in all...I think it is a GREAT idea! It is a case of something a normal person doesnt think about...but one which someone with a disability is VERY aware of!....GOOD for the ones in Vancouver that took note of this and DID something about it!!
