Hmmm... Okay, so this is the laptop, back from the fettlers once more. The lunched hard drive is in my possession (must... dismantle...) and getting the beast back was a saga unto itself - suffice to say I was less than impressed by the service offered by the computersmiths when it came to restoring my data; it hadnt been done when I first called to pick up the beast, couldnt be done on the spot, so I had to return on Saturday to get it done, only there was no-one available to do that, so it was finally done on Sunday, at the expense of one social engagement missed and another hour and some wandering blankly around a giant shed full of shiny electronic tat. That said, Im now using the laptop again. With my iPad perched on my lap. And my iPhone to my left. Over supplied with technology or what? The laptop is better for actual productivity (once I can find a *koff* backup copy of Adobe CS), although it is a noisy crittur (not noisome, although the fan do hum). But for instant and portable access to various parts of tinterwebz, the iPad is still the go to gadget.
