Hmmm. Should KXL be approved, so Canadian fossil fuel industry - TopicsExpress

Hmmm. Should KXL be approved, so Canadian fossil fuel industry and the Koch brothers investors can make their billions, at all of our expenses? Or should Americans benefit by enacting a carbon rebate paid to each of us, funded by charges on the extraction of all that dirty energy, so we may be covered for our costs conversiing to cleaner more modern renewable energy instead? 35 permanent American jobs and the dirtiest oil known to man, sent to for China and the Pacific rim for Canadian export, with 20 million year old boreal forests that have been drinking up carbon dioxide all that time destroyed forever. Threat to the Ogallala aquifer, and to every acre it crosses. Or money in our pockets to drive our move to innovate and buy renewables here with a price on carbon that puts money into a rebate. The KXL choice is obvious, but not as the petroleum propaganda would have you believe. Citizens Climate Lobbys plan would reduce carbon dioxide pollution over a period of twenty years by twelve (12!) times more than the second biggest fossil fuel reserve on Earth would increase it- the Canadian tar sands. Which one will America choose?
