Hmmm... a sky that has a huge - and rather soggy - pale grey blanket draped across it, which is in turn being crossed by smoky smudges of lower cloud, from which a desultory, if steady, rain is falling - this doesnt augur well for the train schlepp up to Liverpool early this afternoon - although the weather prophets have said that things up there should be clearing by early afternoon - fingers crossed... However, here on the ground, there are deferately no grounds for any kind of optimism at the moment - the rain, although rather sparse, is falling in big fat heavy drops, creating mini tsunamis on the pond that covers the skylight below me, and brutally bashing the leaves on impact - leaves which are already shaking and shivering from the light but steady wind thats blowing in from the west - so at least its not quite as cold as it could be... Ah well, plenty to do before I take my leave - a bag to pack, and the new bass had better go back into its case, plus a long soak so I can muss my hair up for the show tonight... ;-) And I must say the mini journey across town to Euston doesnt look like itll be a barrel of laughs, either - lugging big bags and a bass around on buses and tubes is always a fraught enterprise, but doing it in the rain makes it just that little bit more uncomfortable - heres hoping that Virgin Trains are working better than facebook seems to be this morning - everythings working at the sort of pace normally reserved for traffic on the M6 through Birmingham... Hey! At least I wont have to endure that charade... Woohoo! Looking forward to our last gig of this year in a city I always love to play in - so if yr going, seeya there! XX :¬}
