Hmmm menstrual cycles... I went out with a girl back in the early coming of age days who became very aggressive at that time of the month. It was verbal aggression toward me, never physical, she was always looking for something to snap at, I say black she’d say white, and wed disagree over all things “NO! I NEVER take sugar in my Tea! This tastes like SHIT! What’ve you put in it? YOU DON’T KNOW ME AT ALL!!!” (she always took sugar in her Tea and my Tea making skills were fair to middling at worst). It was a very uncomfortable period for me, for all of us, if you know what I mean, irrational arguments based on nonsense and sometimes she’d just look at me in silence and appear utterly repulsed. Her mother had a similar hormonal reaction and with her blood family it became very physical; they’d chase each other round the house with kitchen knives and although no blade was ever plunged, they both had minor nicks on their hands and arms, both old and recent. When she went on the pill, the physical attacks with her family dissipated but she still looked on me as an intruder. It was Agnus Castus, a herbal remedy that I discovered and purchased, which finally brought consistency back to her behaviour, it really worked for all of us. Thinking back, my sisters all exhibited different behaviour patterns. One shouted a lot and became inflamed and intolerant with life, one became emotional and cried at the drop of a hat, finding deep empathy in the weirdest places, and the other appeared unchanged yet there’d be an invisible foreboding aura around her, and if you left the room, by instinct, you’d walk backwards as it was wise to keep her in your eye line.
