Hmmm, not so sure I agree on all points with this guy. Putting aside the whole Deckard is a replicant deal for a moment... I met Edward James Olmos (at a talk about his career at CalState), and like in the Wikipedia entry, the actor suggests that the Cityspeak (not a foreign language or underground language as this video suggests) is something everyone understands - including Deckard and Bryant. Moreover, it was never a question in my mind that Gaff spoke English.
