Hmmm... some of the same points I have stated about mandatory drug testing of social services assistance recipients... (including documentation as to this action increasing tax payer costs and not reducing it, this action being a 4th Amendment violation as an unreasonable search and seizure - i.e. no probable cause justifying civil right to be secure in person, and delves into who profits from state contracts to complete the tests)... finally PROFIT is mentioned...the real reason behind this move. Not to mention the ethical side...just because a person is an addict (addiction is an illness by the way) does that justify denial of food to them or their children? And as addiction is a medical diagnosis, would this practice not effectively increase tax payer costs (paper trails determining whom has the diagnosis and therefore may not be discriminated against, increased medicare and medicaid enrollments post diagnosis of chemical addiction or mental illness)?... Glad others see the reality of this lunacy.
