Hmmmm. I only recently heard of the tv show, The Artists Den. Basically, the show picks an artist who picks a city in which to play then the show picks the venue which is usually an intimate setting. Rock icon Robert Plant picked Nashville and the show picked the venerable old War Memorial Auditorium in downtown Nashville. Plant had spent a lot of time in Nashville even recording a Grammy Award winning album with Alison Krauss, Raising Sand. Plant found a new energy and second life here just as so many other rock legends of old. Incidentally, The Artists Den recently chose Alabama Shakes for their featured performance and the Shakes also chose Nashville. It will be interesting to see where The Artists Den features them.
