Ho Ho Ho! Looks like its going to be BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN VS. CAPTAIN AMERICA in two years time as Marvel has set a May 6, 2016 release date for CAPTAIN AMERICA 3.... same date Warner Bros. plans to release its team-up movie! Back in January, we reported that Anthony and Joe Russo, who directed CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLIDER for Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures (due out on April 4) had signed on to helm the untitled third installment. That same month, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that they had pushed back the release of their own superhero flick BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN from July 17, 2015 to May 6, 2016. Now it looks as if those two films will collide as Marvel has slotted CAP 3 for May 6, 2016 as well. Marvel usually announces release dates for the superhero flicks well before telling us which film will actually occupy them and that May 2016 release date was one of them. Warner Bros. knew that when they placed BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN there but didn’t care, thinking they could scare Marvel off. Not a chance. In fact, it may be BvS who shifts its date as Warner Bros. is mulling over the idea of a April 29, 2016 release. As for CAPTAIN AMERICA 3, Marvel and the Russos are currently putting together an outline for the third film’s story which would see Chris Evans again reprise his role as Steve Rogers. The studio must have liked what they’ve seen from the second installment so I guess as fans we’ll have to play the waiting game to see if the gamble pays off for us. #BatmanVsSuperman #CaptainAmerica - The Hollywood Reporter
