Ho scale sound decoder under the yard for a dedicated yard switcher Since I had a bad running ho scale loco with sound I decided tu use the decoder to better serve my n scale layout so I just plug directly the ho scale decoder on the bus wire and then I use it in consist with my 2 sd40-2 yard switcher and its very good Make me realize that if all my loco would have sound it would be a cacophony in this small room 8 1/2 by 16 1/2 So I am happy with only one pair engine with sound of course some of you will tell me that not the right sound for a sd40-2 yeah my decoder is for a emd 645 not turbocharged but still happy with it
