Hoax bomb threats: one of the dumbest things you could ever do. Yesterday a person allegedly rang an airline and stated there was a bomb on board one of their flights, just before it took off. The bag he identified was taken off the plane and re-screened. There was significant disruption to the airport and the airline, and of course all the passengers. Calling in a hoax threat is a serious matter. This person has now been charged with a commonwealth offence that is punishable by ten years in prison. #AusFedPolice
