Hockey Seminar on Monday July 28th from 7-8pm! AJH has organized an important and very informative seminar this Monday night (July 28) in the Aspen High School Seminar Room (2nd floor), 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Featured guest speakers include: University of Wisconsin Head Coach and 1980 Team USA member Mark Johnson, Chicago Steel (USHL) Head Coach Scott McConnell, Team USA goaltender Jessie Vetter, and Denver University captain Daniel Doremus. The topic is opportunities in hockey and understanding the proper avenue for development. This seminar reinforces the long-term athletic development model utilized by Aspen Junior Hockey, and covers the topic of burn-out (athletes choosing to specialize in hockey too early). The seminar hopes to educate members about the proper development path to the advanced levels (junior, college, and professional hockey). Free to attend!
