Hocking. Athens. Perry Community Action will continue to schedule appointments for the regular State Home Energy Assistance Program (State HEAP) through June 30th. This program is different than the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (Winter Crisis Program). State HEAP is a one-time benefit to the main heating source. Households with a total gross income at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty level may be eligible. Hocking. Athens. Perry Community Action will also continue to schedule appointments for the PIPP Plus program for customers of regulated utilities such as AEP and Columbia Gas. Households with a total gross income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty level may be eligible. Applicants must present: · Past three months’ gross income for all household members · Social Security cards for all members of the household · Proof of citizenship for the primary applicant Birth Certificate or other birth records · Copies of their utility bills (primary heating source and electric, if applicable) · If new service, (new account numbers, proof of address) · If utility bill is in landlords name, a statement from landlord stating they want utility left in landlords name · If you are coming in to do an application for another household, need a notarized statement from that household giving you permission. Appointments can be obtained by calling your local community action. A very limited amount of first-come, first-serve openings will be available on a daily basis. We strongly recommend making an appointment due to the limited amount of available walk-in appointments.
