Hoke, Hoke, Hoke. Im trying to stay supportive of you buddy but you are making it damn hard to do it. First you do an interview earlier this week where you dont acknowledge, even diplomatically, that Gardner has regressed. If youre afraid that Gardners feelings would get hurt, then I dont want a player that is that fragile and sensitive.You then do another interview where you sound absolutely clueless and say were getting it done the right way. Why not say something like I know were not near where we want to be but were going to keep working or something like that so youre not necessarily throwing your team under the Maize & Blue bus but your at least showing your mildly cognizant of how bad it has gotten for an historic football program. Then for the cherry on top of the sundae you allow Shane Morris to stay out there after he could barely move on his left ankle and clearly looked in great pain and had just got his clock rocked by a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit endangering not just his ability to play, but his overall health. That is just that horrible coaching weve heard about Michigan for way too long. Then the team you coach lost to Minnesota today at home to allow them to take the Little Brown Jug for the first time since 2005. Even Rich Rod never lost to Minnesota! Ill always be a Michigan fan but Im getting sick and tired of being sick and tired about the state of our football program.
