Hola Everyone! Ive been drinkin, just sayin. Hope you all had a great weekend! I know I enjoyed the minimal humidity and cool breeze Saturday night and Sunday. Very good time to drink, thats right you guessed it Yak sweat, no... no, I mean wines. Yes white wines to be exact. And it was hammer time to say the least. So let me give you a little Science fact. If youve been keeping up with my previous posts I had posted that the Milky Way Galaxy (Which is where our solar system resides) is part of the Virgo Super Cluster. A huge cluster of thousands of galaxies. Well it was just recently observed that the Virgo Super Cluster is just an appendage of a much much larger Cluster of Galaxies that has recently been named Laniakea (Meaning immeasurable heaven in Hawaiian), which houses over 100,000 galaxies and is 160 megaparsecs in size (520 Light Years). A megaparsec is a million parsecs (mega- is a prefix meaning million; think of megabyte, or megapixel), and as there are about 3.3 light-years to a parsec, so a megaparsec is an effing long way. Han Solo told Obi Wan, Youve never heard of the Millennium Falcon?... Its the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs. On to Updates... Thank you Ismael Rivera and Diego Iglesias for the entertainment over the weekend. I stole the sword of Omens from the Thundercats leader Lion-o, and the sword gave me sight beyond sight which allowed me to see that they will be back this weekend. Friday is Guitarist Ismael Rivera from 7-9p and Saturday is Tenor singer Diego Iglesias from 7-9p. Im still trying to get them to sing classics from the Looney Toons era, but that seems to be a fools dream? If anything come by to hear me sing the Michigan Rag! On to wines..... We got some good ones here: Via Edetana White Garnacha 70% and Viognier 30% Winemaker takes half of the batch and ferments it in French Oak for Four months and then leaves the other half of the batch fermenting with the Lees (Grape Skins to you) then blends them both together to give a very complex refreshing, nose and palette unlike anything you have probably ever tasted. It made the hairs on my arms stand up. I then had what I can only describe as an LSD trip into the heavens where I swam through time and space. I ended up speaking to an old man with a peg leg and missing a left eye about wines and he said that there was a whole other world of grapes and vineyards that hed let me into which was through his left eye socket. I dove into his eye socket and Ive never been the same since. This is the kind of wine that when someone asks you what wine are you drinking? you reply with, The one that says Bad MotherF***er on it.
