Hola mis amigos, We are looking forward to a great weekend of skiing & riding. Forecast is for A weakened area of low pressure is spinning off the coast of southern California today, which has provided enough instability to generate a few showers along the Sierra Crest. Snow levels will remain around 8000 feet with very light slushy accumulations. Computer models suggest that off and on light precipitation will continue into tonight. A weak troughing pattern should continue through the weekend, leaving high elevations vulnerable to some light snow and fog with drizzle or light rain below 8000 feet. No significant accumulations are anticipated. Late Sunday night and Monday morning a slightly stronger trough is expected to move SE along the Sierra Nevada and bring temperatures down, in addition to bringing snow levels down to around 5000 feet. Snow totals from Mondays storm are expected to remain fairly light (1-4 above 7000 feet) due to its quick progression and awkward trajectory (NW to SE). High pressure rebuilds Tuesday through Friday before breaking down again ahead of a potential snow producing trough, currently slated to arrive next Sunday. Timing and precipitation totals have fluctuated throughout each long range model run making next weekends forecast fairly subject to change. Stayn Thirsty & Stoked on the Weather Pattern change ahead my friends, Coop
