# Holding each others hands all the way update. This morning I celebrate four people who have completed the first six sessions, and are on a hands break in preparation for session seven to be conducted after six months when all teams will get to know each other. I am excited, delighted, and I give the glory back to God. In the final evaluation, two participants provided feedback, and on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the lowest, they have rated the sessions at 10!!!! I promised... myself that for any less than 10 rating, I would go back to the person and ask them, what would I have done differently to make it to 10? I dont take their feedback lightly; one has had a lecturing career, while the other has had a Monitoring and Evaluation career. Anyway, here are part of their comments. Respondent 1: Most important is having evaluated my past and set goals for the future. I feel less panicked because I know what I want to do and the timelines attached to it. I am also a lot more focused. Respondent 2: Every session was a good reflection time for me in painting the picture of the future I want, how to get there.... I was always motivated and I’d get back home and implement something different from what I’m used to. Friends, the structured process I have developed taps the personal power in each one of us. Sometimes I do not have the right words to describe the process, and I agree with those who stated the communication is abstract. All I can say, it is not business as usual. We are doing the future together. In everyday lingua, this is what we cover: Self reflection, Big picture thinking, Strategic Planning, Action Planning, Financial discipline, and Monitoring and Evaluation. So far the process has an interesting mix with the lawyers taking the trophy for being the most represented. Other professions include: Communications, business people, statistician, hotelier, tourism, Accounting, Customer care, and counseling. Sessions are booked till August. It is stritcly a first come, first serve basis. Id wantedto talk about business planning this morning, but when I opened mail, and had two evaluations sent back to me, I decided to share differently.
