Holiday Expo in City Till December 21 VISAKHAPATNAM: Do you plan on going abroad for a holiday? Do you need some information about the tourist spots in the neighbouring states? All your queries will be answered at the ‘Holiday Expo 2014’ conducted by Hyderabad-based company Holiday Expo, at the Gateway Hotel. Inaugurated by Symbiosis CEO O Naresh Kumar, here Friday, will last three days and consist of close to 50 stalls of travel agents, exhibitors and state and foreign tourism boards. The expo sees the participation of tourism boards of the states of Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Kerala as well as the tourism boards of countries like Malaysia and Mauritius. Apart from this, other private resorts, hotels, agencies also have stalls in the exhibition. M Srinivas, one of the organisers of the expo, said that the motto for the programme was to promote travel and tourism among cities. “Moreover,” he added, “It also plays a role in creating awareness about major tourist spots and acts as a platform to obtain all these details.” One of the visitors, N Samyuktha, a home maker, said that the expo would bring awareness among the public, “We all like to visit Kerala but are not aware of the places to visit except Allepey. The expo has increased my awareness in that case,” she said. Organisers also added that the expo includes stalls where the public can get offers and special packages in the trips. The expo is open to the public from 11 am to 7 pm till December 21.
