Holiday Message from Viper 6, Vipers, You have accomplished so much this past year! Aerial Gunnery, CPX, Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise (EDRE), TF Viper JRTC Rotation, Aircraft Reset, CAB EDRE, 82nd JOAX, All green on the ARMS inspection, NTC support, Aerial Gunnery, Brigade CPX, NIE support, 96% compliance for the MIP and an FMC rate for our aircraft approaching 90% this past month! You deserve time off over these holidays. Your extreme devotion to this outstanding battalion doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for all you do each day for our Battalion. I’m extremely proud of each and every one of you and especially proud to be a Viper! Additionally, thank you for making the Viper Battalion such an incredible organization with your support to our Organizational Day, Trunk or Treat, Marne Week, Iron Viper, FRGs and our extremely successful Viper Winter Formal. This holiday season, I’d like us all to take a few moments from the hustle and bustle to focus on what’s truly important – your Family and those who’ve sacrificed for our sake and made our enjoyment of the holidays possible. Also, if you see someone who appears to be lost, lonely or depressed, please take action by getting personally involved. All leaders and Soldiers must be aware of the indicators and risk factors that contribute to suicide. Leader, supervisor, friend and Family engagement are essential. This time of year can be lonely, especially if away from Family. Reach out to those who are alone and take them under your wing for the holidays. Please stay safe and celebrate responsibly. I wish you and your Family all the best during this holiday season, a time of great joy and celebration. I look forward to seeing all of you safely return from the holidays and know we will continue to accomplish great things together in the New Year. May this special season be filled with joy and may you enjoy all the best in the New Year! I look forward to 2015 with the best Attack Battalion in the Army! Attack! Viper 6 (LTC John Broam)
