Holiday in Durban Dec2014-Jan2015 - Im heading back home to Dubai...To recollect these past few weeks in a nutshell - I was not going to make it out alive but here I am with 54 FB notifications, wondering Is that all You got Life?? , & having a renewed sense of wonder at who I really am...! Series of events: Got to Durban - Week one - Injury sustained at Sibaya. Didnt phase me out as I was determined to have a great holiday. We danced till 3am with my cousins :) Week Two - Family Get-Together - Sustained another injury...turned septic by Week 3, infection spread to entire body - between Docs & hospital & family - Eish man, never ending drama of how to heal your body like - Play in seawater, get the dog to lick the wound, use this plant... :) I get prescribed the incorrect meds as I needed to pay R40,000 for just a hosiptal bed (SA has bad economy + load shedding on Xmas) - seriously man! I am somewhat better now with ample bed rest by myself - fighting with my extended family here just to recover as i could not make the two-taxi trip into Phoenix to see them daily with both feet swollen like an angry-melon :) Even Joan-Of-Ark rested guys! Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak. Voetsak Durban - Hello Dubai!!! :) I HAD FUN...
