Holiday miracles came through this weekend for some very deserving ARF animals. Sweet Koda, a 7 year-old Akita who needed to be someone’s one and only had been at ARF for over a year. Her new mom, who lives in Massachusetts and is a lover of the breed, had been working with our adoption team for months to learn all she could about this lovely senior. On Sunday, she made the long trip to White Plains where she met up with our mobile adoption van and finally brought Koda home. Parker, a 4 year-old ARFan who also preferred to be someone’s one and only, had been with us for over two years. That is until this weekend when his holiday miracle came true in the form of an new owner who saw his picture on our website and declared he “had to have the dog wearing the tie!” Now Parker has a new home for the holidays. We also sent home eight beautiful cats and dogs on Saturday from our Union Square location in New York City! Thank you to all our adopters and a very special thank you to those who took a chance on our two long-term residents. We’ll miss them for sure but are beyond happy that they will hopefully be spending this, and many more holidays, in their new homes. Happy Holidays to all!
