Hollaaaa you crazy-awesome Stanatics ;) The Stana birthday project is baaaaack, and in 2014 were going to be bigger and better than ever!! As well as this page, we still have our twitter, we have a YouTube channel, and a tumblr (or we will have over the next couple of days!). WE ARE EVERYWHERE ;) If you were involved with the project last year, welcome back! If youre new to the project this year, then hello & thanks for joining us! :) If you didnt come along for the ride last time basically what we were doing was raising money for the CHLA, a cause especially close to Stanas heart. Between January 14th and April 26th we managed to raise an incredible $32,355, after starting with an initial goal of $2500. We had considered other alternatives this time around but after throwing it out to the floor, it was unanimously agreed you guys wanted to do the same thing this year. We plan to launch the fundraising over the next few weeks, and are literally just waiting for our contact at the CHLA to get back to us with details of how to go about it (because theyre making changes to their fundraising pages!) Well let you know when we have more info here! Also... Between the 4th - 20th April (roughly!) well be in Los Angeles, and it obviously goes without saying that we hope to be able to meet Stana, which is why we decided itll be nice if we have something personal to give her from everyone here. So the plan is for everyone to write Stana a message which will be compiled into a larger album of birthday wishes. Handwriting always seems to be more of a personal touch, so ideally wed like you guys to write your message and then send it to either myself or KB via the postal service. If absolutely necessary you can email a short message to us and well copy them up, but the more handwritten notes you guys send in the better! :) Due to the overwhelming response last year, and in order to make sure that no one gets left out (and maybe partially to do with my slight-OCDness), were giving everyone the same amount of space. This is gonna work one of two ways. So you tell us youre in and then:- 1) We send you a card through the mail, in which youll write your message on and then send back to us! Or: 2) We give you the dimensions of the message cards, and you guys write your message on something the same size... and then send them back to us! (Theyre standard sized index cards so it shouldnt be too difficult to match!) We anticipate that February/March will be crazy busy months for us university-wise, and although well be able to dedicate some time to it, were not gonna have time to put the entire thing together - not to mention it can take several weeks for postal mail to travel to different continents - which is why were getting a head start on it now.
