Holly Holm vs. Raquel Pennington set for UFC 184: Holly Holm was forced out of her first bout with Raquel Pennington, but the UFC looks like theyre going back to that bout for a PPV event in late February. It appears that UFC really wants Holly Holm to fight Raquel Pennington in her UFC debut. The highly-touted former boxer was expected to enter the octagon for the first time against Pennington at UFC 181, but an injury forced her off the card. But instead of finding her a new opponent now that shes healthy, theyll go back to the well and set her up against Rocky again at UFC 184 on February 28th in Los Angeles. The news comes via MMA Junkie, who say that there are still minor issues that need to be overcome before the bout can be made official: The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to publicly discuss such matters. Holms pending medical clearance, which she is expected to obtain as soon as this week, is said to be the only remaining roadblock before UFC brass can officially announce the matchup. The fight was then subsequently confirmed by the UFC. Holm (7-0) is still recovering from a broken arm suffered in her last fight, a fifth-round stoppage win in Legacy FC. Pennington (5-4) stayed on the UFC 181 card and picked up a beautiful submission win over Ashlee Evans-Smith.
