Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner has signed up to play in this years charity Soccer Aid match. The Oscar-nominated Hurt Locker star will play as part of the Rest of the World team, to be managed by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. He joins previously announced team mates James McAvoy and Michael Sheen, who will take on a group of celebrities and footballers representing England. The event, held on 8 June at Old Trafford, will be broadcast on ITV. Renner follows in the footsteps of Hollywood actors Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, Mike Myers, Edward Norton and Gerard Butler - all of whom have taken part in previous matches. Sheen will captain Renners team, which also includes chef Gordon Ramsay, Westlifes Nicky Byrne, comedian Patrick Kielty, The Musketeers actor Santiago Cabrera and Man v Food presenter Adam Richman. They will be joined by professional footballers Alessandro Del Piero, Edwin van der Sar, Jaap Stam and Edgar Davids.
