Holy Christ. Apparently I should have my dog mom license revoked!!! I come home down the alley that I park in behind my house and about half way down, there was this little animal trotting toward my car. I thought to myself, Hmm, that really looks like Vixey. Aaaaaannnnd it was Vixey. I pull my car over and call her and she comes to me, no biggie. She loves to ride in the car. My immediate next thought is Oh shit, Haru is probably out too!!! So I get home and I have a security door on the back side of my house with zip tied screening to it. The lower corner has been undone, my inside door is open and Katy bird is plotting her own escape!! My security door is still closed and locked. I rush in the house carrying Vix and call Haru. THANK GOD hes lazy and has a big head!!! He was sound asleep in bed and I was SOOOOOO happy to see him. He was very happy I was happy! :) The only thing I can think of is that I didnt latch the inside door, the wind blew it open, Vixey saw a kitty in the alley and pawed and scratched at the screen causing the old zip ties to break and she squeezed her little skinny minny body out between the bars. I feel like such a mom failure this week. :(
