Holy moly! Thank you for the many likes and best wishes. Having my belly painted is partly a celebration of my pregnancy after many years of trying, several unsuccessful IVF attempts, and a lot of heartaches. Thank you especially to friends and family who have been supportive throughout my years of fertility treatment. Special mention to my partner, R for being my solid anchor, fellow learner and companion in this adventure called life. According to statistics, there are 1 out of 6 couples (at least in North America) who experience infertility. If you know someone who has challenges conceiving, I hope that you extend to them the kindness and understanding that they need. Its not easy. For those who until now are still hoping for a child, stay the course. On the other hand, if you have decided to go child-free, know that your completeness and value as a woman is intrinsic and does NOT depend on whether you have a child or not. Lets celebrate diverse definitions of being fertile and of being complete!
