Holy moly folks, have I got a tasty & simple recipe for you to try. Sauteed onions, but AWESOME. Cippollini onions, peeled, whole (can be subbed with pearl or boiler onions) 1/3 c salted butter 1/2 c white wine (Im a fan of using chardonnay for cooking--go with dry and oaky whites 2 Tbsp brown sugar salt & pepper Heat butter & wine in saucepan over medium-high heat saute onions, covered, for 4-5 minutes sprinkle brown sugar on and around onions reduce heat to low cook, covered, for ~20 minutes until fork tender salt & pepper to taste These things were like flavor bombs. And with the touch of wine & caramelization of the sugar, added a whole new level to onions.
