Holy than thou; Some try to through that phrase around to other people. Most of the time another Christian will say that to another christain. Its sad that 2 people walking the same path and one would hate the others walk. What they say is oh you holy than thou now Not knowing what they are saying or understanding what the word HOLY actually mean but, use that as a lash out to whom they call another brother. This word HOLY had a different definition than what most People are taught or understand. HELPS Word-studies 40 hágios – properly, different (unlike (otherness), holy; for the believer, 40 (hágios with the Lord because different from the world. So this is what he mean by be ye holy. be like me for i am different and you are truly mine you are different than the rest of the world. If 3 are the same then they are in unity with each other so they are 1 in the same. Different bodies but yet same as 1. They speak the same and walk the same as a unit. Thats what he is calling his people to be. . DIFFERENT THAN THE WORLD. .
