Home Depot and General Electric Service Contract I want to say to anyone who is going to get a water heater from HOME DEPOT and buy an extended warranty dont do it. I bought a water heater in 2005 and purchased an extended warranty until 2014, about two weeks ago my water heater start leaking, so I was not worried because I knew I had a warranty on the heater. I was shock because for two weeks Home Depot and GE have been giving me the run around, because I don’t want the people they want to put my water heater in, because they want me to pay almost $1000.00 more for the work. I paid for the warranty and all I need them to do is replace my water heater. Now I have to go and buy a new one because they want to tell me who can the water heater in that I paid for. So a Service Contract with them is no good. Keep your money.
