Home / Foreign Rebel leader arrested in CAR 2015-01-19 06:52 Bangui - A justice official says a leader of Central African Republics anti-Balaka Christian militia has been arrested in connection with murders, rapes and looting during the countrys unprecedented sectarian violence. Prosecutor Maurice Dibert-Dollet said in a statement on Sunday that Rodrigue Ngaibona, alias Andilo, was arrested in the town of Bouca on Saturday by Cameroonian peacekeepers. Africa The anti-Balaka militia formed in response to widespread human rights abuses committed by the mostly Muslim Seleka rebel coalition, which toppled the president of a decade in 2013 and installed its leader, Michel Djotodia, as head of state.
