All Students (Morning/Evening) a. Re-opening – 13th October, 2014 b. Normal Registration – 13th October to 24th October, 2014 c. Lectures begin (All Programmes) – 20th October, 2014 d. Late Registration (with penalty) – 27th – 31st October, 2014. 2. Weekend Session a. Re-opening – 17th October, 2014 b. Registration – 18th – 25th October, 2014 c. Lectures begin (All Programmes) – 24th October, 2014 d. Late Registration (with penalty) – 31st October -1st November, 2014. TIME: MORNING/EVENING SESSIONS (DAY TIME) – 9:30 am to 4:00 pm each day EVENING SESSION (EVENING TIME Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays) – 5:00pm to 8:00pm VENUE: COMPUTER SCIENCE BLOCK (LAB III) FIRST FLOOR WEEKEND SESSION (SATURDAYS ONLY) – 9:00am to 2:00pm each day GENERAL INFORMATION It is announced for the information of the entire students’ body that the Polytechnic is introducing an on-line registration for continuing students starting from the first semester of the 2014/2015 academic year. Students are to take note and comply with the following: . Students who pay the approved Polytechnic fees or charges for the academic year shall be assigned Registration Voucher to enable them register. . All Morning/Evening/Weekend sessions, (DBS and other Non-HND programmes) and B-Tech students are required to pay the required percentages of their respective fees (as shown below) at the designated banks using the Trans-Flow before they would be cleared to register their courses. 1. All Morning Session students are required to make full payment of their fees. 2. All Evening/ Weekends sessions students are expected to make 50% payment of their fees. 3. All B-Tech students are expected to make 50% payment of their fees. 4. All DBS Students are expected to make full payment of their fees. 5. All Foreign students are expected to make 50% payment of their fees. 6. Conditional students are expected to make 50% payment of their fees. . Students who pay the approved minimum fees/charges can only register after twenty-four (24) hours. . Students who may encounter any difficulty in the course of registering could use any of the following medium for support: . In all cases students should indicate their names, programmes and index numbers. Note: . Students who may fail to register at the close of the specified dates allowed for registration shall lose their students status and shall be withdrawn (Article 20.4 of the Koforidua Polytechnic Student Hand Book) . Students are to note that the rate for penalty for late registration is GH¢50.00 plus GH¢10.00 for each day in default up to five days. (Ref: Article 20.3 on page 25 of the Students’ Handbook). STEPS FOR ON-LINE REGISTRATION Step 1: Payment of School Fees a. Students are to pay the required percentages of the Polytechnic fees as indicated above for the 2014/2015 academic year at any branch of Agriculture Development Bank or Ghana Commercial Bank using the Trans-flow System. b. Students must ensure that they quote correctly their Index Numbers on all the pay-in-slips. Steps 2: Payment of Department Fees and SRC Dues a. Students are to pay their 2014/2015 academic year dues at any branch of these designated Banks. b. SRC Dues- National Investment Bank (NIB) – Account#: 2922 c. Departmental Dues- Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) – Note: Various Departmental Account(s) Numbers are stated on the bills. Step 3: Academic Course Registration a. Click sip.koforidua.edu.gh for your online registration page. b. Enter their full index numbers as a username c. Enter the default password sip4kdpoly for first users. All should be in small caps/letters. d. Change their password after logging into the system for the first time. e. Click on the “course registration tab”. f. Click on “Enter” button on the screen to begin course registration. (NB: you can only register after 24 hours after paying the fees) g. Register for the required courses for the semester by adding the correct courses for the semester (please check and be sure of the courses before registration). h. Confirm your registration after adding the correct courses. i. Print a copy of your registration confirmation page. (NB: You can’t print without confirming your registration) j. Logout from the system after registration. Step 4: Certification of Registration Form a. Attach your printed Registration Form, copies of receipt for Departmental dues and SRC charges and submit to the Faculty Administrator for certification. b. Students will run two (2) copies of their certified copies of the registration form and submit same to their respective departments. Keep the original for use at the end of semester Examination. c. Registration is not complete until it is certified by the Faculty Administrator. No payment of fees or registration would be accepted after the 31st October, 2014 late registration deadline (for all students Morning/Evening and Weekend Sessions).
