Home!! Yay! Thank you to Vancouver Kennel Club for a great weekend. HUGE thanks to the crew at the Clark County Fairgrounds - they are absolutely my FAVORITE crew to work with year after year. If you attend dog events - PLEASE be sure to take the time to THANK the folks who make it possible for you to enjoy this sport! The club members are there from dawn to dusk, and work MONTHS in advance to ensure a good show. The crew at the venue work their butts off to do the same - think about WHO cleans the restrooms? Cleans up each evening after the show? Re-sets the chairs? Fixes the power that is blown (cuz seriously, 15amp does NOT run the mircowave...not the first time..not the second time....not the third time...not ever!). Empties the garbage cans. Cleans up all the garbage that couldnt find its way TO a garbage can etc...etc...etc. THEY are the unsung heros that truly make the show happen. Working so many shows in the parking area....I have gotten to see just how MUCH goes in to making an event happen......and I am incredibly amazed and grateful to those who do what they do...so I can do what I love. Please...just take a moment to thank these folks as you pass by.....it REALLY DOES make a difference in their day.
