Home again after quite the climb in the dark. The top of the Verdugos is slightly over 3000 ft. Altitude gain is just over 1800ft over 1.5 miles. its roughly 1200ft vertical per mile walked. Thats a reasonable incline. It does get steeper closer to the top though. We set off in the dark and got to the top around 11.00pm. Bruce was busy taking photographs so I lay on top of one of the concrete water reservoirs and went looking for meteorites. Less than a stellar performance. Saw a grand total of four! It may not have helped that the moon was incredibly bright, but nevertheless a very pleasant way to see the start of my birthday. Unique. We star gazed until around 1.00am then decided it was time to head home. We both have auditions tomorrow morning. So a grand start to my birthday. Now if one of these damned auditions comes my way, that would be a great present. If not. then something else will crop up Im sure. But now, its time to hit the hay. But a quick thank you to all who have sent birthday greeting. They are much appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
