Home again, home again, jig-a-di-jig. There is nothing like a vacation to rejuvenate the mind, spirit, and body and this one was one for the record book. I had a marvelous time doing next to nothing with people that I love beyond words. We spent the days roaming the beach, the beautiful Litchfield resort, and for me the world of Divergence, V is for Vengence, and 2nd Honeymoon (a James Patterson read). We dined at some old favorites and broadened our horizons to add three new favorites - breakfast at Applewood Buffett, dinner at Capriz - an Italian restaurant that serves Brazilian style; and Dieter and Steves an intimate restaurant that is open by invitation only. We saw the best show on the Grand Strand, and I even got a hug and a kiss from the STAR of the show. We played silly games, talked, and chased crabs till the wee hours of the morning. We shopped till we dropped and purchased next to nothing (except for fudge and taffy). Our hearts were heavy to see the Piggly Wiggly was closed, but mine was quickly racing to see that Bilo was having a moving sale with almost everything 50% off (and yes, I had my coupon book). It was our first Litchfield vacation in May, our first Litchfield vacation with Dallas, and our first vacation that was drama free ( if you dont count the two in one day bicycle injuries). We reminisced as we walked the streets where Leslie removed her training wheels, and stuck our toes in the pool where she learned to swim. We thought back to trips we had shared at this vacation oasis with Bec and Bill; Katie, Sally and Debbie; Kasey and the rest of the Swing Family; Henry and Johnnie; Ashton; Maegan and Marissa; and Chelsea. We missed Jack this week (except we were thankful there was no Remote Control God in the condo). Many might return and say now I have to go back to work; but for me its simply not true. Now I get to return to the life I love . . . Doing what I do! Thanks Pat and Debbie for another wonderful vacation.
