Home again, home again, jiggity jig after a 36 hour hospital stay - TopicsExpress

Home again, home again, jiggity jig after a 36 hour hospital stay that was mostly precautionary! Boost those kids immune systems, cut out the sugar and junk food, wash hands often, tell them to keep their hands away from your faces, but do NOT worry! Just be preventative and prepared. The hospitals are busy, but not in a panic. Theyve got it under control. Hopefully all the kids who get it will only have minor discomfort and inconvenience. The kids with weaker immune systems and pulmonary issues are more susceptible for sure, but theyre the ones also with treatment plans in place and the nebis and inhalers ready to go. The pediatricians offices are battling it too by giving the breathing treatments and sending kids home. If your child gets a cold and struggles to breathe, call the pedi immediately and get in. And if you have non-health related reasons to go to the hospital or pedi office (well-checks or anything routine), you might NOT want to do that just now. Stay out of the docs and the hospitals unless you HAVE to be there! Its just the beginning of a long season of challenging weather and health issues, folks. Be smart! Super G says, We can do this! :)
