Home and HAPPY! Dan and I just spent an amazing hour catching up on our ballroom dancing skills, courtesy of a gift from a great instructor, Christopher Lee Jansen at Astor Street Dance Studio. We were a bit rusty, not having danced much since moving to Brown Deer, WI. Weve been unable to find places to do much dancing since moving so far from places where we used to dance regularly. Under Chris tutelage, we began with a simple waltz, our choice, and Chris guided us through some of the different dance moves. We then moved on to a rhumba, again with some guidance from Chris. We started with these two dances because they are slow, and we wanted to take it easy with Dans back. Before the hour class finished, we had added a cha cha, a fox trot, a tango, and a swing! Would never have believed that we could do this after Dans injury in March. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! Ten more weeks of classes and we should be good as new! It was also fun watching Chris and Pat dance a bit, and watch Pat and Dan dance the cha cha and the tango. Good! Peace, Jackie
