Home at last! In at about noon to complete what was a bit less than 6000 miles in the motorhome. It was quite an adventure....somewhere in the middle of a desert at 114 degees with the ac units failing to keep up and the diesel fuel boiling out of the fuel tank I thought This may not have been my best idea ever......Driving the interstates in the west has become a nightmare and the crush of people was unnerving but seeing old friends and family and the trip to Alaska made it all worthwhile. Now the aftermath....unload, unpack and pay the flood of bills .....the price we pay for the fun we had....Motorhome goes into refit Wednesday. Re do old oil leaks, and a few other issues then will take her to the caves in KC for winter storage. ........For my submarine friends....half of this drive was like being a planesman in a state 5 sea at periscope depth....fairly intense...jj
