Home front mission Have you ever gone on a short-term mission trip? It is usually a one or two week trip to another country, helping the missionaries who live there in spreading the gospel. For many believers this can be a life-changing event. I went to the Philippines a few years ago and it really gave me a new perspective on living for Christ and finding my contentment solely in Him and not worldly possessions. There is usually a time of testimony from everyone who went and how it affected their walk with God. But then it seems that we just go back to our regular lives, and the mission ends. My question is why should the mission end? For many it was the first time they did skits, or a puppet show, and even passed out tracts. It should be a starting point for what should be done at home. You should take that same excitement, and what you learned, to the streets of your own neighborhood and let it become a life long mission trip.
