Home now, unloaded all the luggage, put away all the suitcases and stored and filed away a few more precious moments of family shared quality time. Time well spent gathered around campfires, gazing at the multitude of stars which shimmered across a brightly moonlit lake. I spent a great deal of time this week gazing across the bay contemplating mortality, and in the evenings around the campfire often wondered if Dad was looking over my shoulder as we all laughed until we cried as seldom was there a moment that passed where a mannerism or a infamous dad quote wasnt repeated. So now after reading some very lovely sympathy cards from dear church family I sit quietly reflecting a few words to share from a slightly contrite, saddened heart. Nothing will ever be the same from here forward until that reunion day. Struggling in spirit, while the peace and comfort prevails the hole in my heart still hurts and serves to remind me of how fragile life is. I am strong in Christ, weak alone but such joy when I sing the refrain my chains are gone, I have been set free... So yes, post vacation depression mixed with the melancholy grief, nice double whammy oh and traffic was also such a joy, gotta luv I-95 on a weekend early afternoon... Love you facebook family. :) Thank you so much for the love.
