Homegrown technology start-ups will get a S$50 million boost from the government as early-stage funding. Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean says the money will address the funding challenges faced by budding firms. He says the National Research Foundation will partner leading venture capitalist firms to invest in tech start-ups here. It will be done through a one-to-one co-investment approach, with total investment funds of S$100 million. Mr Teo was speaking at the opening of a technopreneurship conference. 938LIVE/kt
