Homeless man gives up his 7 mo old puppy, Dixie, an URGENT dog in MD. She belonged to a homeless person and is now at animal control. There is a rescue willing to pull but they need to find a foster first. If you can foster please contact Canine Nation by going to caninenation.org and send them a message. URGENT - Canine Nation would love to pull this sweetie pie but NEED a FOSTER FIRST. Meet Dixie. Her homeless owner gave Dixie up – not because he wanted to, but because he couldn’t care for her and knew no one who could/would. Although she’s a mere 7 months old, one look at her pictures will tell you Dixie’s already had a rough life. She has skin problems that may be allergies, or possibly mange. She was put on medication when she arrived Aug. 20, and now is on prednisone and a repeat course of cephalexin. She has been in isolation and remains very fearful.
