Homemade Onion Cough Syrup With all the colds coming on this - TopicsExpress

Homemade Onion Cough Syrup With all the colds coming on this time of year, I feel this one is due. Our mother used to make this for us when we where very young and it worked quite well. The great thing about this onion syrup is that it won’t make your drowsy and it won’t have that “medicine-y” taste cough syrups have. Sure, it may taste a bit like onions, but you can be sure that it’s all natural! Ingredients: 1 onion granulated sugar or honey a container with a lid Instructions: Peel, and slice the onion. Layer sugar and onion into the jar. Top with more sugar. Cover. Let it sit overnight on the countertop (6-8 hours). Pretty soon you’ll see liquid in the jar. Take a spoonful of this liquid as needed for coughs & colds. Store the extra syrup in the fridge for up to 2 day. Make fresh syrup every 2 or 3 days.
