* Homemade Treasure Playdoh * (Please SHARE!) 12 days left to VOTE for our fun sponge ship craft video at: moretimetoplay.ca/video.php?u=134 You can vote DAILY for a chance to WIN $1000! Thanks SO much everyone! Heres a fun idea for kiddos of all ages! Would be a fun take-home gift for a pirate themed birthday party too! Every pirate needs his/her own treasure after all - right matey? Kids will have a great time finding all the goodies hidden in this playdoh, and then of course, playing with it! Onetime literally spent 1 whole hour digging treasures out and then playing with the sparkly dough! Recipe: * This recipe lasts for up to 2 months if kept in an airtight container when not being used (if you want to keep it that long that is)! 1 cup flour 1/2 cup salt 1 Tbsp Cream of Tartar 1 cup water 1 Tbsp oil Yellow food colouring (we used Wiltons Golden Yellow) 2 Tbsp gold glitter *Mix dry ingredients. Add the wet ingredients. Cook on Medium/Low, stirring, until the playdoh is sticky and not wet looking anymore. Put it on a mat and let it sit for 1 min. Knead in colour and glitter! Now all you need to do is add in some fun treasures for your kiddo to find. We had gold plastic coins, some old beaded necklaces, fake diamonds, and glass beads. Play jewellery would also be fun to add! Onetime had a blast finding all the little treasures in this dough. Presenting it to him in a little chest with a small shovel was the perfect invitation to play! Hope you enjoy this one! Cheers, Sue
