Homeschool Devotional Day 30: Prayer this morning as I was doing my personal scripture study I was reading in 2 Nephi chapters 32 and 33. I decided I wanted to discuss some of this with my kids for the devotional. In these chapters Nephi is wrapping up a most beautiful sermon on Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, repentance, baptism and Eternal Life. Well he talks about much more but you can read it for yourselves. It is awesome. Ill put a link at the end of this devotional. Anyway, after he lays it out there, he says this in verse 4 of chapter 32: Wherefore, now after I have spoken these words, if ye cannot understand them it will be because ye ask not, neither do ye knock; wherefore, ye are not brought into the light, but must perish in the dark. So when we have questions, if we are having a hard time understanding, it is only because we dont ask! Our Heavenly Father wants us to grow up to be just like Him. He wants us to know EVERYTHING, just like He does. He wants us to ASK Him to reveal precious truths and to bring us into the light. He wants us to pray.
