Homs and Aleppo Governors Hope Easter will Mark Syrias Resurrection .. Apr 20, 2014 Homs, Aleppo (SANA) Homs governor, Tala al-Barazi said that Syria enjoys a unique, well-knit social fabric as it is the land of amity, peace and coexistence. Al-Barazi was speaking during a visit to several villages in Wadi al-Nadara in Homs countryside. Meeting Christian clergymen at the Greek Orthodox Mar Georges Houmaira monastery in al-Mishtayeh area, the governor said Easter is a day for all the Syrian people, adding that the coming days will bring along more victories thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian army. Homs is witnessing a flurry of national reconciliations that are thought to play a major role in putting the life cycle back on track as increasing numbers of youngsters who were misled into getting involved in the recent events are now back to the right path, added the governor. The governor also visited the Greek Orthodox St. Panteleimon Church and the Roman Catholic St. Peter monastery in Marmarita. Archbishop of St. Panteleimon Church, Elia Touma underlined the immense relief in Wadi al-Nadara area after the Syrian army restored security and stability and kicked terrorists out of al-Husn and al-Zara areas, stressing the importance of fostering a culture of reconciliation and tolerance. In a relevant context, Aleppo governor Mohammad Wahid al-Aqqad expressed hope, during a visit to heads of Christian denominations, that Easter will mark Syrias resurrection and a prelude to a definite victory over terrorism.
