Hon. Ayobami Ojo of the Pdp and others join Accord. I have decided to abandon the pdp for the Accord Party because it is obvious to all that the party in Oyo state has fallen into irrelevance. This was the view of Hon. Ayobami Ojo a serving member in the Oyo state house of Assembly representing Atisbo and Saki east state constituency. Hon. Ojo in his remark said that he had been a member of the Pdp from inception, but lately the party has betrayed the dreams and objectives of its founding fathers particularly in Oyo state. Hence his decision to leave the party to join forces with Accord a party of the masses. He assured the party leadership of his determination to do all within his power to make sure that Accord emerge victorious in Atisbo and saki east state constituency and the Oke ogun in general. He said Pdp in Oyo state has become so disorganized that the party is now a habitat for people with low integrity. He explained that a situation where a person who was announced as having won the primaries when he actually failed is most unfortunate. Also a present member in the Saki east local government caretaker committee Hon. Taiwo Alabede has also left the ruling party APC Oyo state for Accord. Hon. Alabede will be submitting his resignation letter later today. The decampees moved into Accord with hundreds of their followers. Senator Rasidi Ladoja in his remark thanked the decampees for choosing Accord. He said it is a decision that they will not regret. Senator Ladoja said that what happened to Hon. Ayobami is the hallmark of the Pdp, A party that is filled with people who are dishonest and abhors the truth. He said a former governor of the state who recently left the Pdp spent over 150 million naira in bribe and yet met a brick wall. He noted that Pdp in Oyo state is filled with dishonest people. He said the Pdp has lost its status in oyo state and can now only be ranked in the same level as Sdp and other smaller parties. He noted that the national leadership of the APC had approached him to come and be their governorship candidate in the 2015 elections, but he declined because the party had become a an unmarketable product in the state. Senator Ladoja remarked that what the opposition thought will bring about the disintegration of Accord has only gone to make the party stronger. Senator ladoja said to the glory of God the election will be much more easier for Accord than expected.
