Hon. Carlos M. Molina Rodriguez, Mayor of the Municipal Government of Arecibo Carlos M. Molina Rodríguez was born in Arecibo Barrio Sabana Hoyos on 27 August 1974. He attended primary and higher education in the public schools of the town of Arecibo. While working as a Stewardship Officer Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, initiated and completed his bachelors degree in Criminal Justice at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, where he was President of the First Council of Students of the institution. He continued studies leading to masters degree in Public Administration from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico. In 2003 he was elected District 14 Arecibo-Hatillo as House Representative, a position he held for four years. In 2009, the Honorable Governor of Puerto Rico, Luis Fortuño appointed constitutional cabinet as Secretary of the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where he directed all 4 agencies that comprise the Department (Juvenile Institutions Administration, Board of Parole, Corporation Business Employment and Training, Office of Pretrial Services and Correctional Administration), and implemented a variety of innovative programs for the rehabilitation of the inmate. In 2012 he was elected by the people of Arecibo as your Mayor where he currently works with many challenges ahead. He is the father of two beautiful girls and married to Maria Alejandra Gonzalez Judge Cardona. He is fond of planting small fruit and reading. His dream is to return to the city of Arecibo in the splendor that had good times, highlight it as a major tourist destination and maximize their economic potential for the advancement of Washes families and people of Puerto Rico.
