Irrespective of whether there is an operative local government or an effective mayor in Georgetown, Guyanese should not be subjected to this subhuman environment. This does not only violate the peoples constitutional right to happiness and a disease free environment, as delineated in the 1980 Constitution with 1996 reforms, the apparent tool for measurement and justification of activity that affects the nation, but it negates the aid given by world health organizations to fight communicable diseases borne by the systemic allowance of the accumulation of filth. Mr. Granger, as the leader of the opposition, what NEW and VIABLE efforts will you make to repair this broken system that continues to lower the standard of living of Guyanese and represent us on the lowest rung of the sociopolitical/cultural ladder around the world. Please be reminded that we are aware of the obstructive politics of the ruling regime. We are curious as to the Oppositions approach to this problem that has become more of an epidemic than political posturing. Thank You.
