Honda Fireblade SP At first glance and you might be forgiven for - TopicsExpress

Honda Fireblade SP At first glance and you might be forgiven for thinking its just an expensive Fireblade, but the upgrades are more than skin deep. The engines gas flow was improved by 3%, but the real changes are to be found as a trained eye will notice on the suspension and brakes. Ohlins to be found, front and rear, and Brembo taking care of the brakes. As on all Fireblades, ABS an option. Small tweaks also been made to the handlebars, footrests and sub-frame. Kitted out with very good rubber in the form of Pirrelli Diablo Supercorsa. Yet no electronic aids to be found, and Honda is persistent its simply not needed. And lets face it, Honda knows a thing or two when it comes to the speed machine. The Fireblade was and still is one of the easiest sport bikes to take to the limit, even more so true for the SP version. Produce 178bhp and weigh in at 169kg(dry) and ready to ride just under 200kg. Power to weight ratio is 1053bhp/ton, and still bang up to date, beating even most new offerings from other stables. Worth R190 000, well that is open to debate, but in my opinion, a bargain of some sort.
