Honest personal opinion ............ I think African American males do an outstanding job at limiting themselves through their aspirations, dreams and goals at becoming atheletes, drug dealers, and entertainers of the sort. I think that we do this so much that we paint a thorough picture to African American women to believe that if they dont attain a man with one of the above characteristics then that they have failed in life directly relating to the relationship category. Sadly; no matter how many people argue against my statement, statistics suport my claim as African Americans continue to have the higest number of children born out of wedlock and our divorce rates leading the way at an all time high. Whats even sadder is that the rediculous notion that there are no good African American Men left is still being echoed all across America. I challenge ALL AFRICAN AMERICAN MEN to have multiple plan As. Be prepared, for if your first goal doesnt work dont hesitate to go into another. There are multiple roads that lead to successville. You dont always have to follow the person infront of u. To ALL WOMEN I simply ask that you not overlook the men who are not always out and shining. Do not let overalls, dirty hands, work boots, and a pickup truck lead you to believe that, that man is any less of a man than the man you see in the foreign sports car with the rims. You all know the saying everything that glitters is not gold In all reality actual gold is found under water, mud, and dirt. IM JUST SAYING!!!! Sooo my question to you all is ........is it really that there are no good African American men left or are the simply getting overlooked????
